Transjugular Embolization of the Internal Spermatic Vein for the Treatment of Varicocele

Abstract
|
|
|
A transjugular approach for testicular venography and embolization of the anternal spermatic vein was performed in 7 patients (6 left and 1 bilateral). Embolization was satisfactory in 6 of 7 patients.
This transjugular technique facilitates sub selective catheterization of the internal spermatic vein and its collateral’s and enables coils to be placed deeply within these vessels.
